BLAZE YOUR OWN TRAIL AT TIMBER

Timber Cannabis Co. is not your average dispensary - experience, education, and quality are apparent the moment you walk in. I’ve been with Timber since nearly the beginning when we only had one location in Michigan. Each store is thoughtfully designed and curated to feel inclusive and welcoming, not intimidating. Timber has grown to 6 locations across the state and along the way I’ve been able to put my stamp on everything from brand development, in-store customer experience, merchandising, print & digital graphics, social media, and packaging. Scroll down for some highlights:

In order to stay compliant with Michigan law and block the Timber Three Rivers sales floor from being visible from the parking lot, I designed a custom mural that was printed on perforated vinyl. The perforated vinyl allowed natural light to come in and give customers the ability to look out the window while you were on the sales floor. From the outside, no one is able to see any product, and the mural is large enough to catch eyes from the road and entice new customers to stop by.

In-Store Experience

Guests are encouraged to explore Timber. The salesfloor is full of intentional wayfinding, educational touchpoints, and branded messaging.

PACKAGING

In order to keep up with customer demand for cost-effective yet quality cannabis products, Timber created its own line of in-house gummies, vapes, and infused pre-rolls. My favorite in-house product is the Firelog pre-roll, which I named and designed a custom logo for. On the live resin infused pre-roll labels, I made the logo look like it was burned into the wood grain and for the highest quality live rosin infused I was able to get custom metallic paper to make the logo look like it was on fire.

4/20 AT TIMBER

4/20 is kind of like Christmas/Black Friday/and a jam band festival all rolled up in one day. Most dispensaries offer huge discounts and freebies to entice customers to come to their shop to spend their 4/20 budget. As Creative Lead of Timber, I wanted to do something different to get people to wait in line at our door. Every year we create a custom merch bundle based on the theme “It’s 4/20 Somewhere” that is free to the first 100 people that show up and it has become a cult hit. Over the years it has been incredible to see loyal customers wearing their t-shirt from years prior while they wait in line to get their new merch bundle!

In 2023 our marketing team had a budget of $10,000 for 4/20 merch and at the end of the busy day we raked in over $130,000 of total revenue for Timber.
