The No. 1 Rated Global Board Management Solution

I joined the small OnBoard marketing team as their brand designer in the midst of a global pandemic. Digital board management solutions were once considered a bit superfluous in the boardroom, but with remote meetings and work-from-home becoming the norm, OnBoard had the opportunity to stake their claim in a growing market. But first, they had to look the part. As the lead creative on the in-house marketing team, I worked closely with Minneapolis-based agency Superhuman to build a brand that matched OnBoard’s vision of bringing the boardroom into the 21st century.

The new OnBoard is bold and forward-thinking; a complete 180 from the rest of the sterile board management landscape. Along with the full visual rebrand, I also had the opportunity to work alongside our in-house product team to completely overhaul the design and user experience of the OnBoard software. Along with our stellar marketing team, I re-designed our website, every single e-book & user guide, social media profiles, and print materials to reflect our bold new brand.

Following the rebrand, OnBoard received a record $100 million growth investment from JMI Equity. Today more than 5,000+ global organizations use OnBoard and the app is rated higher than any other board management app on the market.

REBRAND

A unexpected color palette and illustration package gives OnBoard the ability to stand out in a sterile landscape of SaaS blues and whites.

OFFICE MURAL

In early 2022, OnBoard moved it’s headquarters from West Lafayette, IN to hip Mass Avenue in downtown Indianapolis to accommodate their significant growth. I had the unique opportunity to design and paint a custom mural in the front entry. After the paint was on the wall, I commissioned a custom laser-cut metal sign of our new iconic logo mark from Project One Studio to complete the installation.

PRINT + MERCH

“Sahyog” is a Sanskirt word that translates to collaboration or cooperation. This was our CEO’s mantra, and it was apparent from the moment I joined that everyone believed it. I was lucky that nearly every single person in the company was onboard (see what I did there?) with the new branding and was genuinely excited to witness our quick growth. I created an internal swag store that helped build excitement and ownership internally that featured Sahyog merch and other goodies.

DIGITAL ADS

OnBoard’s new bold color palette and unique set of brand shapes allowed us to play with layers and contrast in a way no other board management software company had before. Even simple display ads become the main focal point on a webpage, enticing prospective customers to click through and explore.
